Our approach to High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) focuses on recognising and nurturing students’ strengths through meaningful challenge, engaging learning and opportunities to explore new possibilities. We support students to turn their potential into achievement, encouraging them to think creatively, pursue their interests and deepen their understanding. Through this approach, we build confident, curious learners who are supported to extend themselves and grow in knowledge.

- The Premier’s Debating Challenge helps our students to build logical arguments and confidence in public speaking.
- The Premier’s Reading Challenge helps our students to develop a love of reading, improve literacy skills, and build confidence through engaging with a wide range of books.
- The Premier’s Sporting Challenge (PSC) promotes whole-school participation in physical activity with leadership pathways and professional learning.
- Participation in PSSA enables our students to trial and compete in sports against local schools, fostering discipline, commitment and collaboration.
Sporting Challenges
Our school offers a wide range of sports programs to help students grow and develop their skills. Students can take part in PSSA competitions, the Athletics Carnival, and the Premier’s Sporting Challenge, encouraging teamwork and a love for sports. We also have Swim School, Dance, hip hop, and cheerleading, giving students many chances to learn new skills and work together. These activities help students reach their best in a friendly and supportive environment.
Academic competitions
Our school offers a wide range of academic opportunities, including Chess, Scrabble, Spelling Bees, Public Speaking, STEAM, and robotics programs. These activities provide students with the chance to develop critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills. Students also have the opportunity to participate in competitions at other schools, as well as regional and national levels, where they can challenge themselves and represent our school with pride.
Music ensembles
Our school is proud to offer a vibrant range of music ensembles for students including a lively SAMBA group, choir, recorder ensemble and band. These programs provide opportunities for students to develop their musical abilities, collaborate with peers and perform in a variety of settings. Participation in these ensembles allows students to extend their skills, explore their creative strengths and engage in enriching experiences that nurture their talents.
